FEATURE RACE - BALLYROAN 10 MILE

This week the feature race of the weekend is the Ballyroan AC 10 mile (and 5K) event in Laois.

I've always been unashamedly biased when I see a race that offers some nice "bling", see pic above. But the Ballyroan Athletic Club also have a good track record of putting together well run events, and good courses. This Saturday they have the following on offer:

• Over €2,000 in prizes
• Team prizes
• AAI approved
• Chip Timing
• Free tshirt and medal for first 500 entries
• Fab refreshments post race (I believe this has been a pretty good spread in the past, another 'draw' for me!!)

The organisers have told me that they will expect to have some spaces available on the day, if you get there by 10am to register. But I would recommend registering online in advance, particularly if you plan on travelling to the race
